Approved by the FAA for in-flight carry on
Okayed by the US Postal Service for regular mail
Orlando, Florida, January 11, 2014 – Phix Doctor CEO Tony Gowen announced today at Orlando’s Surf Expo that the majority of the Company’s premium surfboard repair products have received two stamps of approval from the United States government. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now accepts most of the Phix Doctor line, including the Sun Powered Dura Rezn Nano tube and the innovative Micro Kit, to be carried on all domestic and international flights. Similarly, the United States Postal Service (USPS) determined that the same products meet all requirements for safe transport through the nation’s mail system.
“These approvals are another side benefit of our commitment to environmentally safe products,” said Phix Doctor Founder/CEO Tony Gowen. “Both the FAA and the USPS recognized that these new styrene – free products were non-flammable as well as non-hazardous and perfectly safe for air travel. With that in mind, we developed new packages so that all of our premium products were available in the under three ounce sizes required for liquid flight carry-on.”
Phix Doctor believes that the ability to carry on its premium board repair products will be particularly valued by surfers who travel to remote breaks on a regular basis and live in fear of the damage airlines are known to inflict on their favorite boards. The peace of mind that comes from knowing you have an instant fix in your backpack takes at least one of the stresses out of that dream surf trip.
